Course Introduction
  • This course is designed for anyone wanting to become an accredited first aider. This qualification provides learners with skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in high risk work environments.
  • The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) consists of two units:
    • 1. Unit 1- Emergency First Aid in the Workplace (EFAW)
    • 2. Unit 2- Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace

  • Spinal Injuries Signs, Symptoms and treatment
  • Chest Injuries Signs, Symptoms and treatment
  • Penetrating Chest Wound
  • Severe Burns and Scalds
  • Denaturation First Aid At Work
  • Types, Measurement and General Treatment of Burns
  • Minor Eye Injuries and Treatment
  • Sudden Poisoning, Signs and Symptoms and Treatment
Day 3
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Heart Attack (CVA)
  • Stroke: Act F.A.S.T
  • Non Convulsive Seizures
  • Convulsive Seizures
  • Asthma
  • Hypoglycaemia
  • Knowledge Assessment

Fee: £185
Duration: 3 Days (0930-1730)
Lunch will not be provided only Tea and coffee will be provided in the morning and during breaks.
