In light of recent reports that the NHS aims to recruit a further 5,000 healthcare professionals by 2020,London-based Global Health Professionals have discussed how they aim to accelerate this with their Mandatory Training and Clinical Workshops.
Effective from April 2016, the Nursing and Midwifery Council Revalidation Process asks nurses and midwives to demonstrate the safe and effective practice of their respective areas of healthcare, through a series of educational and participatory exercises. Global Health Professionals Mandatory Training’s and Clinical Workshops can be used for NMC Revalidation process.

The procedure promotes good practice, with hopes to strengthen public confidence in the nursing and midwifery professions. As stated on the official NMC website, the process is intended to “encourage you to reflect on the role of the Code in your practice and demonstrate that you are ‘living’ the standards set out within it.”
Global Health Professionals are keen to highlight the diverse range of programmes and workshops available at their various training centres around the capital, and how they are on hand to provide the support needed to complete the portfolio requirements for NMC revalidation.
The company are also eager to eradicate the misconceptions surrounding the revalidation process, noting how many of the attending nurses and midwives admitted to have underestimated the importance and relevance of the process prior to their undertaking of the training. A spokesperson for the company revealed: “No matter what your scope of practice may be, any NMC registrant will reap the benefits of the revalidation training. The process has nothing to do with a professional’s fitness or ability to continue practicing; it has simply been designed to encourage a culture of sharing, reflection and improvement.”
In addition to gaining the educational and participatory hours used towards their NMC revalidation portfolio, GHPL has seen attending healthcare specialists greatly benefit from the opportunity the training gives them to assess their current practice and how it affects their patients.
GHPL hope to reassure any healthcare professionals seeking revalidation training, by inviting them to come along and attend all hands-on clinical and mandatory programmes on offer at their various London training centres. In addition to the educational and participatory hours used towards their NMC revalidation portfolio, GHPL has seen many attending healthcare specialists greatly benefit from the opportunity the training gives them to assess their current practice and how it affects their patients.
